How it works

Three steps. One form. No pressure.

Most people have written options in their inbox the next business day.

STEP 1

Tell Us About Your Vehicle

Complete our simple vehicle details form — year, make and model, or a VIN — plus your kilometres and how you'd like to be reached.

STEP 2

We Find You The Best Options

We compare coverage from our network of Canadian providers and send you the best options in writing — clear enough to compare against anything else you're offered.

STEP 3

You Pick — Or Walk Away

There's no obligation to take us up on any option. If you want help, we'll walk you through what each one covers and what it doesn't, then you decide.

How a warranty usually gets sold — and how we do it

Same insurer-backed programs the finance office sells. A different way of buying them.

How it usually goes

  • One offer, delivery day. The finance office shows you the one or two programs that store carries, while you're signing for the car. Nothing to compare it against.
  • A phone call that won't end. The national brands quote by phone, and the price is often “only good today.”
  • The fine print arrives after the payment. Deductible structure and claim limits turn up in the contract, not the pitch.

How we do it

  • Several programs, one form. We quote across programs and shape the term, coverage and deductible around your vehicle — not around whatever one desk happens to carry.
  • In writing, held for seven days. Every price shown plus tax, emailed by a named person. Compare it against anything else you're offered, on your own clock.
  • Walk away, or ask. Nobody calls unless you want them to. If a warranty doesn't make sense for your car, we say so.

What you're getting

Insurer-backed programs

Claims are approved and paid by the program administrator, directly to the repair shop.

Any licensed shop in Canada

Never tied to one dealership or chain. Some plans extend to the continental U.S.

One flat deductible

One flat amount per repair visit — not per component, and no surprises at the counter. Your quote states the exact amount. SWAP: deductible specifics when custom program lands

What customers say

★★★★★

I find warranty shopping kinda stressful and they took the stress out of it by cross shopping a bunch of different options. I wasn't happy with the offerings provided by the dealership and came across AWE in searching for other options. Sorcha was amazing in helping me find a great deal with wide coverage that was nearly identical to the manufacturer warranty but for a fraction of the cost.

Ashley was so incredible helpful. She was friendly and so quick to respond and make sure I had answers to all my questions. She made the process from start to finish very simple, including arranging the inspection. I totally recommend Ashley if you need a warranty on your car.

We'll tell you when not to buy one.

A new, reliable car still under factory warranty, owned by someone with savings, usually doesn't need extended coverage — and we say so. Coverage earns its price on vehicles past 80,000 km, on European and luxury makes, on turbocharged and high-tech drivetrains, and for anyone who'd have to borrow to cover a $5,000 repair. Common questions

Quick answers

Is Auto Warranty Experts legitimate?

Yes. We're operated by Sault Nissan, a licensed dealership in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and have quoted coverage for drivers in every province. The plans we quote are administered by established Canadian program administrators backed by major insurers, and every quote arrives in writing from a named person. About us →

Do I have to buy the warranty at the dealership?

No. You can buy insurer-backed coverage directly, at purchase or years later, as long as the vehicle is inside the program's limits. Vehicles past factory warranty usually need a short inspection first.

Can I use my own mechanic?

Yes — any licensed repair facility in Canada. The administrator pays the shop directly; you pay only the deductible.

What's the difference between a named-component and an exclusionary warranty — and which one do I need?

It's how the contract is written. A named-component plan lists what's covered — on our comprehensive plan that's the engine, transmission, drivetrain, cooling, fuel, electrical, steering, brakes and A/C, the systems behind most repair bills, with $5,000 per visit — and it's available on older and higher-kilometre vehicles. An exclusionary plan lists what's excluded and covers everything else, adding screens, cameras, driver-assist modules and body electronics, for about $480–$550 more on a mainstream vehicle, on vehicles up to 7 model years and 140,000 km. For most vehicles the comprehensive plan is the right starting point; the upgrade is worth a look on a late-model vehicle loaded with that equipment, or a premium brand. The full explanation, with prices.

What does it cost?

Most multi-year plans run roughly $1,700–$3,300 plus tax depending on the vehicle, kilometres, coverage level and term. Luxury and European vehicles sit above that range, sometimes well above — the parts and labour cost more, so the coverage does. Our cost guide shows real example quotes. Yours is free and takes minutes.

What happens after I submit the form?

A member of our team reviews your vehicle, prices it with our providers and emails you the options — usually the next business day. We may text or call once to confirm a detail. That's it; no pressure and no follow-up marathon.
